Responding to DBT’s announcement that over £100 million of funding will be made available for research and development into ‘greener’ aviation, Alexandra Herdman, Senior Policy Manager at business group Logistics UK, says:

“Logistics UK welcomes the additional financial support announced by the government to develop leading-edge green aerospace projects as the sector continues on its journey to net zero.  

“The aviation sector is notoriously hard to decarbonise and investment in innovative technology will help reduce the amount of carbon offsetting as well as carbon capture and storage that is expected to be required to meet the 2050 target. Read more
